System requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
- .NET Framework 4.8 (included with current Windows 10 and 11)
- Administrator rights (needed to change system settings)
- Any desktop or laptop. Tweaks that don't fit your hardware are skipped
Install & first run
- Download and run
CrimsonTweaksFree.exe. No installer needed - Run the FPS Test first to get your baseline
- Apply the recommended tweaks, restart if the app asks, then test again
- Keep what helps. Anything can be undone with Restore All
SmartScreen warning?
Windows shows it for new apps that aren't code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway. A code-signing certificate is planned.
Antivirus flagged it?
Some engines flag new, unsigned apps that need admin rights and change many settings, using machine-learning guesses (names like ML.HighConfidence). You can check the file yourself: compare its SHA-256 above, or upload it to VirusTotal and look at the Behavior tab. Questions? Ask us in the Discord.

No tweak that lowers FPS, Beast Mode, separate editions
- Fixed: GPU scheduling (HAGS) can lower FPS on some GPUs, so it's no longer auto-recommended. It's marked test first, and the Smart NVIDIA profile only enables it where it fits.
- New: Beast Mode in Game Boost closes almost every background app while you play, skipping your game, its anti-cheat, GPU/audio drivers, mouse software and Discord. Everything reopens when you end Game Boost.
- Changed: Game Boost is now included in Premium as well as Ultimate.
- New: Separate Premium and Ultimate editions with license keys delivered at checkout.
- Changed: Calmer, more professional interface.
Updates and sharing
- New: In-app updates for licensed editions.
